Mary-Faye is a product of the American melting pot. Her father emigrated from Ukraine at a young age with his grandparents and her mother is from a mix of Canadian and American Indian with a touch of aristocratic and farmers. Embracing her Ukrainian and Native heritage makes for an interesting and tenacious person, especially when tracking down an elusive ancestor or seeking justice for someone who was wronged in some way.
